amalficoast.boats is an independent editorial guide to boat tours on the Amalfi Coast. We are not a tour operator, we own no boats and we are not the official website of any company, port or municipality. We compare the tours on sale, explain how they work and link to the places where you can book them.
Who we are
The site is written and maintained by a small editorial team based in Campania. Every season we travel the coast between Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi and Salerno by boat, by ferry and on foot, checking piers, timetables and what the tours actually include. We publish no personal bylines: responsibility for every page lies with the amalficoast.boats editorial team as a whole.
What the site does
- Compares shared, private and do-it-yourself formats (ferry, boat rental) for each departure point. Start from all Amalfi Coast boat tours, then narrow down with pages such as tours from Sorrento or private tours.
- Reviews operators and booking platforms in the operators section, using public information only: official websites, published prices, review counts and ratings with their date.
- Links to GetYourGuide, our affiliate partner, and to the operators' official sites, so you book directly with whoever sells the tour.
- Explains the practical side: how to reach the piers, rough-sea cancellations, extra fees, what to bring.
How we verify facts
Every price, timetable and duration on the site comes from one of four sources: the operator's official website, the GetYourGuide product page, a public body (municipality, port authority, transport company) or a check we made on site. We note the date next to each figure and show an Updated date on every page. When a figure could not be confirmed, we say so or give a clearly labelled range instead of a precise number.
Prices on the Amalfi Coast move with the season and with fuel costs. A page that was accurate in April can be out of date by July. Treat our figures as a guide and check the booking page before you pay.
Editorial policy
- Facts are cited with source and date.
- We list drawbacks as well as advantages: cancellations, crowds, hidden costs, sea conditions, pier chaos in Positano.
- We do not sell tickets, take bookings or receive payments. Booking happens on GetYourGuide or on the operator's site, under their terms.
- We accept no payment for positive coverage, and operators cannot buy a place in our comparisons.
- We invent no testimonials and quote no reviews out of context.
How we make money
