Who they are
Amalfi Coast Dream Srl is based at Corso Italia 234 in Sorrento and states on its own site that it has been trading since 2013, with Vittorio Cuomo as owner. It is one of the few operators in the area to publish both a founding year and a full list of its boats — two details that matter more than they sound in a market where most sites stay deliberately vague.
The model is straightforward: private charters with a captain, no shared departures. Alongside its own gozzi the company brokers larger yachts, so the same name covers both an 800-euro family day and a formal charter several times that.
One warning to avoid the wrong listing. TripAdvisor also carries an "Amalfi Coast Dream Tours" registered in Positano with 248 reviews; from its descriptions that is a road-based tour service with a driver, not this company.
Where you sail from
The usual meeting point is Marina Piccola, Sorrento's commercial harbour, which also handles hydrofoils and ferries to Capri, Naples and Positano. From Piazza Tasso you walk down Via Luigi De Maio and the ramp to the quay — ten minutes downhill, noticeably harder coming back up. If you arrive on the Circumvesuviana, the station is about fifteen minutes on foot.
Embarkation can be moved to Positano, Amalfi or Capri on request. That is useful if you are staying on the Amalfi side, but agree it in advance: it changes both the usable length of the day and the quote.
Sorrento has two harbours: Marina Piccola for ferries and charters, Marina Grande for the old fishing fleet.
The fleet
The site is unusually precise here. The owned boats listed are an Italyure 38, gozzi of 35, 30 and 26 feet, a Ranieri 22 and a Barqa Q20 of 20 feet. That runs from a small open boat suited to two or three couples up to a twelve-metre craft comfortable for a whole day.
Above that band the company brokers yachts: Riva 86, Azimut 62, Princess 55, Azimut Fly 53, Lancia 52 and Riva 44. Keep in mind that these hulls are not owned by the operator. Availability depends on the yard or the owner, and the pricing and cancellation terms usually follow that individual yacht's contract rather than the operator's standard terms.
Tours and prices
The catalogue covers a Capri tour, an Amalfi Coast tour, the two combined, a sunset cruise, day trips for cruise passengers, tailor-made itineraries and cruises of three, four or seven days. Day trips are listed as departing around 10:00 and the sunset trip around 18:00 for two hours; the TripAdvisor listing describes a range from two to more than eight hours.
The official site publishes no rates. Its quote form only asks you to select a budget band, from "up to 1,200 euro" to "over 5,000 euro". The only concrete figures we found come from a reseller, Sorrento Insider: 709 euro per boat for Capri, 799 euro for the Amalfi Coast, 999 euro for coast and Capri together, and 396 euro for the sunset trip, up to ten guests. Those are a third party's prices, not the operator's own, so treat them as an order of magnitude rather than a rate card.
Excluded in every case are the Capri landing fee, stated at 100 euro per boat, Blue Grotto entry at 18 euro per person, lunch and gratuities.
Booking and cancellation
You can book online with instant confirmation through the ChartePro system, or by WhatsApp on +39 377 316 9707, by email at info@amalficoastdream.com, or through the site's form. Support is listed as available every day from 09:00 to 23:00, a long window that reviewers mention often.
A deposit or full card payment confirms the booking; the balance can be settled in cash, by payment link or via PayPal. Cancellation is free up to fifteen days before the date. If the trip is called off for weather you choose between a full refund and a new date. Large yachts and multi-day cruises run on separate terms, so if you are booking in that bracket, ask for the exact wording before paying.
Capri is the most requested destination, and landing at Marina Grande carries a separate 100-euro fee per boat.
What reviewers say
The numbers are striking. On TripAdvisor the operator holds 5.0 out of 5 from 1,066 reviews and ranks first of 315 outdoor activities in Sorrento. On Trustpilot it holds 4.6 out of 5, but from only 19 reviews. The site also claims 1,409 Google reviews averaging five stars; we could not verify that against an independent source and report it as the company's own statement.
The positive themes are consistent with each other: captains are named individually, itineraries are adjusted to what guests ask for, the boats come across as modern and well maintained, and there is real flexibility when things get awkward — seasickness, extra time at a swim stop, a change of route in wind. Restaurant recommendations and pre-trip messaging also come up repeatedly.
On negatives we have to be honest in an unusual way: we found none that recur. Almost every review is five stars. That is a good sign, but read it knowing that a distribution this uniform makes it harder to judge how the operator handles a trip that goes wrong, simply because so few such accounts exist.
Direct or through GetYourGuide
With this operator the choice is less stark than usual, because the direct terms are already reasonable: fifteen days for a full refund and an explicit weather policy. Booking direct also gives you the whole fleet, the multi-day cruises and the tailor-made itineraries, none of which appear on the platforms.
