Who they are
Blue Amalfi Charter S.r.l. is registered on Via Marina Piccola in Sorrento and works exclusively on private charters with a skipper aboard. The name contains "Amalfi", but the operating base is on the Sorrento side of the peninsula: if you are looking to board in Amalfi harbour, this is not the operator for you.
The site gives 1984 as the founding year. We could not confirm that independently, and the contrast is what makes it odd: forty-two years of trading claimed, and not a single public review anywhere. It may be that the current brand is recent and the parent business is older, or that the online presence was built only lately. We report it as the operator's own statement rather than a verified fact.
Watch out for the near-identical names, of which there are several on this coast: MBS Blu Charter, Blue Escape Charter and Sorrento Blue Charter all operate on the Sorrento side, and Blue Marine Charter works out of Maiori. In our searches, reviews that surfaced under this name belonged to those companies, not to Blue Amalfi Charter.
Where you sail from
Boarding is at Marina Piccola or Marina Grande in Sorrento, depending on the boat allocated and the day. Marina Piccola is the commercial harbour below Piazza Tasso, where hydrofoils and ferries to Capri and Naples berth; you reach it down Via Luigi De Maio in about ten minutes on foot, pleasant on the way down and much less so coming back. Marina Grande is the old fishing village further west, reached by the steps of Via Marina Grande.
The distinction matters, because the two are a quarter of an hour apart and out of sight of each other. Get the exact quay confirmed the evening before, not on the morning itself.
Marina Piccola, the harbour below Piazza Tasso, is one of the two possible meeting points.
The fleet
This is the strongest part of the site, and it is unusually detailed. Four boats are listed: a Ranieri International 24 for six guests, a 26 ft gozzo for eight, a 30 ft gozzo for eleven with a cabin containing a WC and shower, and an Apreamare Gozzo 35 for ten with a teak deck.
It is a coherent fleet, all between seven and eleven metres, with no large hulls and no brokered yachts. For groups of eight to eleven, the 30 ft gozzo gives the best cost per head, and a toilet aboard on a full-day trip is not a minor detail.
Tours and prices
Here the operator does what almost nobody on this coast does: it publishes the rate card. The prices, read on the official site, are per boat rather than per person: Capri from 900 euro, the Amalfi Coast tour from 1,000 euro, coast and Capri combined at 1,100 euro, and the sunset trip from 350 euro for a maximum of four guests. Shore excursions for cruise passengers are quoted individually.
Included, according to the site, are fuel, VAT, a bilingual skipper, snorkelling gear, a welcome prosecco, water, soft drinks and beer, towels and Sorrento port taxes. The extras are stated and priced: 100 euro for landing at Capri, which the operator says is waived if you have lunch at a partner restaurant, and 18 euro per person for the Blue Grotto.
On durations: Capri runs about seven hours, of which two to four are free time on the island; the coast tour is a full day; the sunset trip is two hours. The stated season is April to October.
Booking and cancellation
You book by WhatsApp on +39 388 6508609, by email at info@blueamalficharter.com, or through the site's form, which is available in Italian, English and Spanish. Accepted payments include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Google Pay, Apple Pay and PayPal, and the booking is treated as confirmed once the deposit arrives.
On cancellation, though, the site is vague in a way we do not like. For bad weather the operator offers an alternative date or a refund: clear enough. For everything else the terms simply ask for "early notice", with no cut-off in days and no stated percentage retained. It is the one grey area in an otherwise transparent operator. Get the exact rule in writing before you send a deposit.
The two-hour sunset trip is the entry-level product, capped at four guests.
What reviewers say
Nothing, and there is no softening it. Two TripAdvisor listings exist under this name, one registered in Sorrento and one in Piano di Sorrento, and both showed zero reviews when we checked. We found no Google Business listing. An Instagram account, @blueamalficharter, does exist.
That is not a negative verdict; it is the absence of any verdict. We do not know whether the skippers are good, whether the boats are kept as the photographs suggest, whether the stated timings hold, or how the company handles something going wrong. That is why this review carries no score: giving one, high or low, would mean pretending to knowledge we do not have.
The practical advice is to treat the lack of reviews the way you would treat a brand-new restaurant — not a reason to stay away, but a reason not to pay everything up front and to get every condition in writing.

Booking direct here has a rare advantage: you already know the price before you write, so any conversation starts from a clear base, and you get access to a fleet described in detail. The drawbacks are the open-ended cancellation rule and the total absence of reviews to lean on.
