Who they are, and why the name confuses
First things first: Top Satty and Amalfi Boat Tour are the same business. The company is Amalfi Boat Tour SRL, based at Via Santa Tecla 24 in Maiori and trading at amalfiboattour.com; Top Satty is the name its listing carries on Google Maps and on some travel aggregators. Search either name and you land on two different pages with two different scores, and this review treats them together because they describe one operation.
Watch the neighbours too: at numbers 46 and 48 of the same street sit Nautica Maiori and Pascia Charter, while a separate company called Amalfi Boats trades in Amalfi itself. They are distinct businesses. No founding year is given for Amalfi Boat Tour.
Where they leave from and how to get there
The base is Maiori, the coastal town with the longest beach and, not coincidentally, the easiest seafront to walk: no stairways, parking along the main road, and a jetty reachable on foot from almost every hotel in town. From Salerno you get there by bus along the coast road or, in season, by the ferries that link the coastal towns; from Amalfi it is a few kilometres by road.
The operator states that it can pick up in any town on the coast, so the exact point is agreed together with the timing when your quote is prepared.

The fleet
This is the company's strong suit. Eight boats are listed: three 7.50-metre gozzos, a Fratelli Aprea, a Jeranto and a Saver; two larger 8.60-metre gozzos, the Izzo and the Viveur; and three bigger hulls, an Itama 38, a Conam 60 and an Idea 80. The tour pages showcase a Tornado 38, a twelve-metre speedboat certified for ten passengers plus two crew.
That range covers everything: the couple who want a slow gozzo among the coves at Erchie, the party of ten heading for Capri on a fast boat, the group hiring the big hull for a celebration. What is missing, as we will see, is not boats but commercial information.
Tours and prices
The published products are the private Amalfi Coast tour from Maiori towards Positano, taking in the Pandora Grotto and the Furore fjord, a Capri tour, a sunset cruise, a water-taxi service, and charters for weddings and fireworks evenings. A full day runs around seven hours, a sunset trip two to three.
On price the website says nothing: every page routes to the quotation form, and not even an indicative rate appears. The only figures in circulation come from reviews, where some customers mention around USD 1,650 or more for a full-day charter - third-party accounts, useful as an order of magnitude and nothing more. The on-board package includes drinks, prosecco, limoncello, snacks, snorkelling gear and towels; lunch, wine tasting and champagne are excluded.
Booking and cancellation
You book by filling in the request form on the site, by WhatsApp or telephone, or by email. There is no online checkout.
On cancellation we found nothing at all: no rule published on the site, and no terms carried in the third-party listings. On a service paid for in advance that is the most serious gap on this page, and it matters all the more in light of what some reviews describe.

The two profiles tell different stories. On Google, under the name Top Satty, the listing shows 4.9 out of 5 from 308 reviews, read through Wanderlog. On TripAdvisor, under the name Amalfi Boat Tour Srl, the average is 4.6 out of 5 from 28 reviews, ranking 37th among 92 boat tours in Amalfi at the same date.
The positive reviews return to the same elements: the skippers, named individually - Carmine, Salvatore, Flavio - are described as funny, knowledgeable and attentive; guests like the grotto entries and swimming stops, the drinks and snacks provided, the photographs taken by the crew, and the willingness to change the pick-up point or arrange something for a special occasion. It is a profile consistent with a well-rooted local operator.
There is, however, a critical theme that needs reporting precisely. Several reviews published on TripAdvisor during 2023 and 2024 report paying in full and then being told that Capri or the Blue Grotto was unfeasible despite calm seas, together with complaints about a slow pace and stops that never happened. Lunch not being included and peak-season crowding also come up. It is worth being clear about what this does and does not mean: these are customer accounts, posted publicly in that period, not facts we have been able to verify, and we found no response from the company. The overall TripAdvisor sample is small, so a few episodes weigh heavily on the average. Even so, the theme recurs often enough to deserve a direct question before booking, especially in the absence of any written cancellation policy.
